On Friday I left work at 3:30 and went to the public library to renew my membership and get a pin to start checking out ebooks and audiobooks. I spend so much money on books and it seems silly that I’m not utilizing the library. I didn’t know that ours had an ebook and audiobook option unitl a coworker told me a few months ago. I should have realized they would though! When I was in high school I went to the library a lot, doing family tree research but I haven’t been in years. I spent a lot of time putting books on hold via the Libby app and can’t wait to start reading/listening.
I spent a large portion of my Saturday getting my hair done (color touch up, a trim, etc) then came home to do absolutely nothing. I had errands I needed to run but didn’t feel much like going out. That night we built a fire in our fire pit, because after rain moved through this past week it cooled off, and I wanted s’mores!
On Sunday I went to run some errands with my mother and pick up stuff for the meals I planned for the week. We stopped at T.J. Maxx and Kirkland’s so I could get a gift for someone at work, then went to wal-mart. After that neither of us was interested in cooking so we stopped and picked up salads from Zaxby’s.
I had some cleaning to do after getting back home so I took care of that and debated whether I was going to get all of my steps in for the day. I took Saturday off because I just felt like I needed to, and I never do that.
Last week my brother bought this Lionel Polar Express train. He’s always been obsessed with trains, even when we were small kids. He used to say he wanted to be a train conductor. So when he discovered this he bought it immediately. It’s actually really cool! He put the track together and set it up in the living room because my mother is getting new furniture and the room is empty. It had to be dismantled Sunday evening because the new furniture arrives today.
That’s about the extent of my weekend. How was yours? Did you do anything exciting or fun? What are your plans for the week?
